Staff Accountant
Pacific Staffing is recruiting a Staff Accountant for a respected Sacramento-based organization known for its commitment to accuracy, operational excellence, and strong financial stewardship. The Staff Accountant supports core Finance and Accounting operations, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis. Our client offers exceptional benefits, including 4 weeks of PTO, Cal-PERS benefits, advancement opportunities, and other perks. Hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three (3) days in-office in Sacramento. Salary $70,000-$80,000 DOE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, allocations, and adjustments.
- Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Respond to inquiries regarding account balances and transaction history.
- Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- 1–2 years of Staff Accountant or progressively responsible accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP, bank reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR processes.
- Experience with accounting ERP systems.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).
- Strong analytical skills.
