Queens Law firm is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Legal Assistant to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients regarding their legal case
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- File various legal documents with courts
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve various claim issues
- Communicate with courts regarding cases
- Obtain medical reports from various medical facilities including hospitals, doctors' offices, etc.
- Record and store client information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field is preferred but not required
- At least 1 year of New York Workers' Compensation experience is required
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must
