Action International Ministries is a nonprofit organization that takes the Gospel and compassionate care throughout the world! Our USA headquarters in Mountlake Terrace, Washington is where our staff provides administrative services so that our workers overseas can concentrate on their ministries. We are looking for a mobilization department assistant to join our team! This role can be either full or part time and can include tasks such as responding to initial interest inquiries, helping create financial budgets, and coordinating logistics of missionary candidates. Additionally, this can include the potential of representing ACTION at local colleges, conferences, and churches, as well as taking trips to visit ACTION missionaries.

We are looking for a Mobilization Department Assistant to join our team! 

Job Description:

• Has the potential of being a part-time (15-20 hours per week) or full-time position (up to 32 hours a week);
• This role includes having national holidays off and personal days, but it does not offer health insurance.

In this role, you will:

• Help create budgets for short-termer workers by collaborating with field workers and the Finance Department for interns and short-term teams;
• Play a key role in helping long-term missionary candidates work through the online application process and consolidate all the documents necessary for the ACTION Candidate Review Committee;  
• Help with the logistics of ACTION's long-term missionary candidate orientations (generally take place in person twice a year at the USA Office in Mountlake Terrace);
• Respond to initial interest inquiries;
• Email correspondence, conference set up, and recruiting material organization for mobilization team;
• Take notes during bi-weekly meetings; 
• Flight and trip insurance guidance;
• As able, represent ACTION at local colleges, missions conferences, and churches seeking to mobilize people for short-term or long-term service with ACTION;  
• As able, take trips to visit ACTION missionaries to better understand ministry opportunities and the on-field logistics of all workers.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ who lives according to biblical principles *
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Gmail 
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Support raise salary (training and coaching is provided)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have an interest in cross-cultural missions
• Experience serving overseas (short-term or long-term)
• General computer knowledge
• Strong organizational skills
• Willingness to learn
