TITLE
Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

SCHEDULE

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Weeks: 13
Guaranteed Hours: 36

REQUIREMENTS
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Must maintain current valid certification in:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (must be completed within six (6) months of hire)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) (must be completed within 6 months of hire)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS (must be completed within 6 months of hire)
- Minimum of 3 years of prior ICU experience

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Perform a variety of responsible nursing care procedures that require professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments.
- Work independently in completing assignments following doctors' orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures.
- Provide inpatient care and support in the ICU, including recovery of post-operative patients as needed.
- Float to Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatrics as necessary.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation every 2 weeks
- COVID & flu exemptions may be accepted after submission of declination form
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start
