Position Information Position Title: Office Assistant, Math Tutoring Center Requisition Number: H01874P Position Category: Hourly/Work Study Campus Location: Weber State University - Ogden, UT Hours per week: 7–12 hours Months per year: 12 Alternate work schedule: Yes Pay Grade: Salary Hourly Pay Rate: $14.00 Job Summary/Basic Function Office Assistants are reliable, detail-oriented individuals that support the daily operations of the Math Tutoring Center. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to being successful. Responsibilities Maintain a welcoming environment for all students, such as greeting students who sign in using the kiosk. Assist students with the Math Tutoring Center queue process and answer any additional questions the student may have. Direct tutors to specific student sessions. Ensure tutors and students have the supplies to have an effective tutoring session (paper, utensils, etc.). Send professional email correspondence with students about the center’s hours, scheduling appointments, and any other center-related questions. Keep the center clean and well‑organized. This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available; the pool will expire after a period of time and applicants will be notified. Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with Starfish.
