Key Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive patient care by evaluating and diagnosing dermatological conditions while collaborating closely with facility physicians.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, interpretation of lab results, and development of tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver patient and family education regarding skin care, treatment options, and prevention strategies, ensuring clear understanding and engagement in the healing process.
• Perform cosmetic and reconstructive procedures under the supervision of medical doctors, always adhering to safety protocols and best practice guidelines.
• Complete documentation accurately and efficiently using our electronic health records system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and competency evaluations, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with older adults residing in the assisted living facility, addressing a spectrum of dermatological concerns ranging from chronic skin conditions to cosmetic inquiries. Understanding the specific needs based on age, gender, and medical history is vital for effective treatment and management. Your role will involve an empathetic approach, considering both the physical and emotional aspects of skin health, leading to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required for this position.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification (NP-C) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain a patient-centered focus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Preferred Experience
