Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to provide medical and preventative care, which includes diagnosing conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medication, and performing follow-up evaluations.
• Deliver patient-centric acute care visits for complex pain management cases while coordinating recommendations for specialist consultations as needed.
• Executive comprehensive health maintenance evaluations, including patient education regarding disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and psychosocial considerations related to pain management.
• Accurately document detailed patient histories and ensure organized medical records, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain high standards of care and compliance.
• Engage in regular consultations with a team of healthcare providers to develop integrated treatment plans that align with best practices in pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population, including both children and adults facing a range of acute and chronic pain challenges. You will address various conditions—from musculoskeletal disorders to neurological pain syndromes—ensuring that each patient receives individualized care tailored to their unique circumstances and medical histories.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• An active and unencumbered licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong foundational knowledge and experience in pain management practices, with a minimum of two to three years working in a healthcare setting.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with practice management software to facilitate seamless healthcare delivery.
• Utilization of evidence-based approaches in managing complex pain cases and developing treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary range of $150,000 to $180,000, reflecting your expertise and contributions to our team.
