Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including detailed medical history intake, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to accurately determine patient needs.
• Under the guidance of supervising physicians, perform procedures and minor surgical interventions relevant to pain management, such as joint injections and nerve blocks.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring they reflect the best evidence-based practices and lead to positive health outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to empower them in their health journeys.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, progress, and follow-up care to facilitate continuity of care.
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, participating in case discussions, rounds, and administrative meetings to contribute to the overall success of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The diverse patient population at Eisenhower Medical Clinic includes individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions related to musculoskeletal disorders, post-operative pain, and complex regional pain syndromes, among others. You will work closely with patients of all ages, utilizing a patient-centered approach to care that recognizes the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of pain management. Your role in this setting will not only aid in managing pain but also focus on empowering patients through education and supportive resources.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong clinical skills with at least 2 years of relevant experience in pain management or a closely related specialty.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within the scope of practice while exhibiting excellent judgment in clinical decision-making.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with patients and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A genuine commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in a surgical setting, familiarity with pain management procedures such as spinal injections and infusion therapy, and the ability to utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management would be considered valuable assets. Additionally, candidates with a background in orthopedic or neurologic assessments will be prioritized.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
