Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with pain-related symptoms, taking thorough medical histories and performing physical examinations to understand their unique conditions.
• Implement individualized care plans, utilizing a variety of treatment modalities for pain management, including medication management, physical therapy referrals, and alternative therapies as appropriate.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments, making necessary modifications to care plans based on their progress and needs.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies, coordinating with other specialists for advanced interventions when required.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, self-care techniques, and preventative measures to enhance their quality of life.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring all documentation complies with medical legal standards and the demands of healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant specializing in pain management, you will engage with diverse patient populations, including individuals with chronic pain conditions, postoperative pain, and those suffering from acute pain episodes. Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York.

• Solid understanding of pain management principles, diagnostic testing, and treatment options.
