Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our surgical center, which is designed to provide an optimal healing environment for our patients. You will collaborate with an experienced team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, within a supportive and dynamic workplace. The center operates primarily during traditional business hours, and our standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our pain management clinic, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on an in-depth understanding of pain syndromes and associated conditions.
• Performing a variety of medical procedures, including joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, to relieve pain and improve patient function.
• Collaborating with case management to create comprehensive discharge plans, ensuring that patients have access to necessary follow-up care and resources post-treatment.
• Accepting referrals from primary care physicians and specialists, acting as a consulting provider for patients requiring hospitalization based on individual needs and relevant clinical conditions.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation that fulfills both clinical and insurance requirements, thereby ensuring smooth claims processing and compliance.
• Participating in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, providing specialized care and education regarding pain management options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will primarily consist of individuals experiencing chronic and acute pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain syndromes. You will be integral in implementing patient-centered approaches that not only address physical relief but also evaluate psychosocial factors, aiming for holistic treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience, specifically in pain management or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members.
• A strong work ethic and a demonstrated commitment to functioning well within a collaborative, performance-driven healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

While 3 years of general clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with advanced training in pain management techniques, familiarity with electronic medical record systems, and a background in interventional procedures related to pain relief.

Compensation and Benefits
