Work Environment

Working on-site at our well-equipped hospital facility, the Physician Assistant will operate in a state-of-the-art clinical environment that promotes collaboration and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients experiencing chronic pain, utilizing evidence-based practices to assess their condition.
• Order and interpret imaging and other diagnostic tests to customize patient treatment plans.
• Prescribe non-narcotic medications and develop physical therapy regimens to alleviate pain while prioritizing patient safety.
• Schedule interventional procedures, ensuring seamless coordination with other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient charts to reflect ongoing assessments, treatment efficacy, and changes in care strategies.
• Address patient concerns promptly, ensuring the highest level of comfort and understanding regarding their treatment options.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists to design comprehensive multidisciplinary care approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves adults and seniors suffering from chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain. The diverse patient population allows our Physician Assistant to address various pain-related issues through tailored treatment protocols and individual care plans, emphasizing not just the management of pain, but also improvement in overall lifestyle and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is mandatory.
• An active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical environment, ideally focused on pain management or a related medical field.
• Competence in performing physical examinations and formulating diagnoses based on findings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members alike.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
