Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking detailed medical histories, performing thorough physical examinations, and executing essential diagnostic evaluations to identify pain-related issues.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to formulate and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in managing their pain.
• Carry out various procedures and minor surgical interventions relevant to pain management under the guidance of attending physicians, ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards.
• Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle modifications, providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to manage their pain and maintain wellness.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists of individuals suffering from a range of chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. You will engage with patients who may have complex pain syndromes, requiring a comprehensive understanding of pain management strategies and the ability to formulate personalized care plans. Building rapport and trust with patients is essential, as you will guide them through their treatment journey towards improved health and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid New York state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Proven clinical skills and the ability to work independently within the scope of practice.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, vital for fostering strong patient relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in pain management or a related specialty is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
