Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including obtaining detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations to evaluate both physical and mental health conditions.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate a variety of laboratory and other diagnostic tests to effectively identify patient needs and formulate personalized care plans.
• Prescribe and manage medical drug therapies, extending treatment options in line with best practices and approved guidelines, all while prioritizing patient safety, treatment efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records documenting patient treatment plans and outcomes. Organize timely consultations and referrals when case complexities exceed personal expertise or scope of practice.
• Engage actively in all aspects of perioperative patient management, collaborating with surgical teams in outpatient, inpatient, and operating room settings to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will work primarily with patients experiencing chronic pain conditions. This involves collaborating with various healthcare providers to develop tailored treatment plans that address the multifaceted needs of patients, leading to improved quality of life and pain management outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in pain management or related fields.
• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a closely related discipline.
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) credentials and adherence to state licensure requirements.
• Proficient in interpreting and analyzing laboratory and diagnostic test results.
• Strong technical skills with a variety of medical software applications, enhancing clinical efficiency and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
