As a Physician Assistant within our hospital setting, you will work onsite, within a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere that emphasizes patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health by performing comprehensive evaluations and obtaining detailed medical histories.
• Order, collect, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic information to determine the best course of treatment for each patient.
• Prescribe treatments, medications, and therapies in accordance with approved healthcare protocols while ensuring safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain complete medical records, ensuring timely consultation and referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Support all phases of perioperative patient management, including pre-operative assessments, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients experiencing chronic pain conditions. You will interact with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, and seeking intervention for pain relief. Your approach will not only address immediate health concerns but also promote long-term wellness and quality of life through active engagement and education.

Qualifications

• Current, valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with a preference for prior experience in pain management or related specialties.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a relevant field; a Master's Degree is strongly preferred.
• CERTIFIED Physician Assistant (PA-C) credential and state licensure are mandatory.
• Proficient in assessing and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize electronic health records (EHR) and other software applications effectively.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a hospital setting and familiarity with pain management protocols is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive salary range for this position is USD 150,000–180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
