Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations tailored to individuals suffering from acute or chronic pain conditions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, collaborating closely with supervising physicians to monitor patient progress and modify treatments as needed.
• Perform procedures under the guidance of attending physicians, such as injections or minor surgical interventions, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment effectiveness and promote overall wellness.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date medical documentation, including patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in on-call duties and participate in departmental meetings to discuss case reviews, furthering the clinic’s goals for optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients suffering from a variety of pain-related issues, including but not limited to, postoperative pain management, chronic pain conditions, and palliative care. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Possess current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Demonstrated strong clinical skills with an ability to work autonomously within the scope of practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
