Pain Management Physician Assistant - Full-Time Position

Work Environment

The role will be performed onsite at our Valley Stream hospital facility, where our team thrives on a culture of excellence and patient-centered care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance for our employees. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with chronic and acute pain conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and the latest clinical guidelines.
• Perform specialized injection procedures including trigger point injections, joint injections, and nerve blocks, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include referrals to physical therapy or other interdisciplinary services, effectively monitoring and adjusting the treatment response as necessary.
• Manage a patient load of up to 16 visits daily while prioritizing high-quality care and maintaining accurate documentation within our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment approach that addresses the unique needs of each patient.

This role specifically caters to a diverse population of patients in need of pain management solutions, ranging from those with chronic conditions to patients who have experienced acute injuries. Qualifications

• Possession of a valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• A degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• A current DEA license to prescribe medications.
• At least one year of relevant experience in pain management, orthopedics, or physical medicine.

Preferred Experience

While one year of related experience is required, candidates with additional background in pain management techniques, familiarity with EMR systems, and a passion for patient care will be highly regarded. Experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting is beneficial to thrive in our team-focused environment.

Compensation and Benefits
