Community Care Physicians is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Pain Management team in Valley Stream, New York. Work Environment

The selected Physician Assistant will be working onsite at a well-equipped hospital facility located in the vibrant setting of Valley Stream, New York. The work environment is collaborative, emphasizing effective communication among all healthcare professionals, making it a space where every team member’s input is valued. This is a Monday through Friday position, providing a consistent work schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, enabling you to enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with chronic pain conditions, utilizing medical history and physical assessments to inform diagnosis.
• Order and interpret necessary imaging studies to guide treatment plans effectively.
• Prescribe appropriate therapies, including non-narcotic medications and physical therapy, tailoring recommendations to individual patient needs.
• Schedule and perform interventional procedures under the guidance of supervising physicians, ensuring that patients receive the most effective pain management care.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records, documenting findings and treatment plans to facilitate ongoing care and communication within the healthcare team.
• Address patient concerns with empathy, ensuring a supportive environment that promotes patient engagement and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the medical team to refine treatment protocols and enhance care delivery processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant focused on pain management, you will primarily work with patients suffering from various chronic pain disorders, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain complaints. Understanding the complexities of pain management is essential, as you will be part of a team that seeks to improve the quality of life for our patients, helping them manage their conditions effectively and compassionately.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required.
• An active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York is mandatory.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in a pain management or related field, is preferred.
• Proficiency in providing comprehensive physical examinations and making accurate diagnoses.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• A demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and familiarity with advanced pain management techniques will be seen as a positive addition to the candidate's qualifications. Candidates experienced with electronic health record (EHR) systems will have an advantage in navigating patient documentation efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits
