Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our clinic, you will work onsite in a collaborative hospital environment. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to outpatient pain management, receiving support from experienced physicians and ancillary staff. The role requires you to have a consistent weekday schedule, with hours from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with chronic and acute pain conditions to develop appropriate and individualized treatment plans.
• Assist in interventional procedures, including spinal injections and nerve blocks, under the supervision of attending physicians, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with physical therapists and referring providers to coordinate follow-up care, ensuring comprehensive management of patient pain and rehabilitation.
• Manage a consistent panel of patients, fostering continuity of care and establishing long-standing patient-provider relationships.
• Document all patient encounters meticulously using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information for clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current DEA certification to prescribe medications.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient rehabilitation, pain management, or orthopedics is preferred, providing a solid foundation for the responsibilities of this role.

Compensation and Benefits
