Work Environment

This position is based in a vibrant outpatient clinic setting located within a hospital facility in Brooklyn. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while fully immersing yourself in patient care. The clinic is equipped with the latest technology and resources to enhance treatment efficiency, ensuring that you can provide the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients experiencing orthopedic and pain-related conditions to formulate effective and individualized treatment plans.
• Perform in-office procedures, including joint and trigger point injections, guided by ultrasound or anatomical landmarks to ensure precision and patient comfort.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team, including physical therapists, nurse practitioners, and specialty physicians, to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
• Manage a consistent patient load, averaging approximately 16 patients per day, with a focus on both immediate interventions and long-term management strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, ensuring adherence to clinic policies and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves an adult population suffering from chronic pain, orthopedic injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will work with diverse patients, understanding their unique needs and challenges, ultimately helping them regain their functional abilities and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current DEA license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pain management, orthopedic, or rehabilitation setting is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced interventional procedures pertinent to pain management.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding for orthopedic procedures.
• Demonstrated skills in patient education and counseling regarding pain management strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 170,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
