Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from chronic pain by reviewing their medical histories, performing detailed physical examinations, and accurately assessing their pain levels to inform treatment decisions.
• Treatment Planning: Work closely with physicians and specialists to create personalized pain management plans, incorporating a variety of treatment options such as medication management, physical therapy, and interventional pain procedures.
• Patient Education: Provide comprehensive education to patients regarding their pain conditions, treatment alternatives, and pain management strategies, empowering them to actively participate in their care.
• Procedural Assistance: Assist in the execution of pain management procedures, such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each process.
• Follow-Up Care: Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and providing counseling and support for ongoing care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physician Assistant will focus on a diverse patient population suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to back pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New Jersey is mandatory.
