Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant, you will be integral to our patient care team, conducting a variety of tasks that enhance the effectiveness of our pain management services. Your primary duties will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments by gathering medical histories and performing physical examinations to understand each patient’s condition.
• Collaborating with physicians to develop, implement, and assess individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of patients dealing with chronic pain.
• Prescribing medications and recommending therapies or interventions as appropriate within the scope of your practice.
• Performing pain management procedures, including but not limited to joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, as credentialed and required.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, allowing for timely adjustments to treatment plans based on patient responses.
• Utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engaging in ongoing education and training to stay abreast of advances in pain management practices and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The population we serve at Stonebridge primarily consists of patients experiencing chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, fibromyalgia, neuropathy, and post-surgical pain. Our focus is on developing therapeutic relationships with patients, understanding their unique pain experiences, and delivering care that not only alleviates symptoms but also empowers patients to partake in their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body.

• A patient-centered approach with strong commitment to compassionate care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in pain management or a related medical field.

Compensation and Benefits
