Work Environment

This position requires an onsite commitment within our modern surgical center. You will work Monday to Friday, providing care during standard business hours. Our facility supports a collaborative approach, where you will engage with a team of 5 Medical Doctors and 5 Nurse Practitioners to foster an environment of shared knowledge and comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients, utilizing medical history and lab results to inform your practice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies (e.g., X-rays), to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of pain-related conditions.
• Diagnose a variety of health conditions affecting patients' overall well-being, particularly focusing on pain management.
• Develop tailored treatment plans for chronic and acute pain disorders, integrating various therapeutic modalities.
• Prescribe and monitor medications, and provide follow-up care that aligns with best practices in pain management.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and appointment schedules, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Educate patients and their family members about health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies for ongoing care.
• Engage in disease prevention initiatives by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and interventions.
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to collective decision-making regarding patient care strategies.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field by conducting research and participating in professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily includes individuals experiencing chronic pain, acute pain episodes, and individuals seeking post-operative rehabilitation. The role will involve working with a diverse set of patients from various backgrounds, each requiring tailored approaches based on their unique health needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• A valid New Jersey State Physician Assistant license along with current PA-C certification.
• Possession of a valid DEA number is mandatory for this role.
• Proficiency in primary care, with an emphasis on pain management, acute, and chronic care practices.
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong ethical framework are essential.
• A collaborative spirit and positive demeanor are paramount for working effectively within our multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance clinical skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience as a Physician Assistant in outpatient primary care, urgent care, or surgical settings is highly valued.

• Fluency in additional languages is a plus but not a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

Thompson Motion Physical Therapy Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust salary package, we offer a comprehensive benefits program that includes:
