Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our urgent care clinic, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of clinical tasks:

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood work, X-rays, and other imaging studies.
• Provide diagnosis and treatment for a wide array of acute health conditions and illnesses, leading to timely and effective care outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for chronic diseases to promote optimal health.
• Prescribe medications, ensure their proper administration, and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Maintain meticulous patient records through our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring accurate documentation and coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, preventive measures, and wellness strategies.
• Enhance patient health and well-being by promoting healthy lifestyle practices and preventive care initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, including attending workshops, educational seminars, and clinical training to stay current with best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinic, hospital, ER, or urgent care setting, demonstrating proficiency in both primary and acute care practices.
• Strong understanding of health regulations, patient care standards, and safety protocols.

Preferred Experience
