Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations and pain assessments to accurately diagnose the root causes of patients' pain, integrating physical, psychological, and social factors into the assessment process.
• Create personalized treatment plans involving a multi-faceted approach, utilizing medical, pharmacological, interventional, and non-pharmacological options tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide ongoing management and support to patients living with chronic pain conditions, focusing on enhancing functionality, reducing pain intensity, and improving overall quality of life.
• Tackle acute pain scenarios resulting from injuries, surgeries, or medical procedures, employing evidence-based strategies to mitigate discomfort and foster healing.
• Prescribe and monitor medications for effective pain relief, assessing each patient's responses, potential side effects, and preferences to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Perform interventional procedures such as nerve blocks and epidural injections to manage pain, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety.
• Educate patients on pain management techniques, self-care practices, and lifestyle changes that empower them to take an active role in their treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population dealing with chronic pain issues, including fibromyalgia, arthritis, post-surgery pain, and other complex pain syndromes. Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
• Current state license for physician assistants in New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits
