Mary Mediclinic and Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our primary care practice located in Paterson, New Jersey. Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite at our hospital facility in Paterson, New Jersey, in a professional and fast-paced environment. Operating within a team of 5 MDs and 5 Nurse Practitioners, you will have access to shared resources and expertise while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the expectation of a 40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess patient health histories to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Order diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging studies, and interpret the results to guide treatment decisions.
• Diagnose various health conditions and develop personalized treatment plans for chronic pain management and general health issues.
• Prescribe necessary medications, including pain management therapies, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, ensuring that all patient needs are met effectively.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to research initiatives aimed at enhancing clinic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions. This includes individuals suffering from musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and other related disorders. Your focus will be on not only treating pain but also educating patients about health promotion and disease prevention strategies to improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid New Jersey State/DEA license.
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare settings, preferably in areas such as primary care, acute care, or chronic care.
• Strong knowledge of patient care regulations and best practices.
• Exceptional communication skills, exhibiting strong ethics and integrity.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in pain management or a similar specialty area is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and practice management tools.

Compensation and Benefits
