Work Environment

Located in Paterson, NJ, our surgical center presents a vibrant and supportive environment where Physician Assistants can thrive. You will work 40 hours a week, five days a week, in an onsite capacity, allowing you to engage directly with patients in an efficient and collaborative clinic setting. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a personal panel of patients while providing overflow coverage for physicians, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

• Work in a fully clinic-based practice, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with your patients without the demands of on-call duties.

• Perform essential procedures such as IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, colposcopies (if trained), and circumcisions (if trained).

• Collaborate with physician support to enhance patient outcomes and clinical effectiveness, leveraging their expertise for comprehensive care.

• Participate in the Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) council, providing opportunities to contribute to practice improvement and policy development.

• Engage in leadership training and professional development opportunities that can help advance your career within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Handy Clinic, you will primarily cater to women's health needs, dealing with a diverse patient population that includes adolescents and adult women requiring comprehensive OB/GYN care. Your work will directly impact patients’ lives, focusing on their health and wellness through preventative measures and treatment protocols tailored to their specific situations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Current Physician Assistant Certification and an unrestricted state medical license in New Jersey.

• Full COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement for this role.

• Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and time management skills, alongside the ability to engage in active listening and learning.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in an OB/GYN setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to USD 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
