Position Overview

Capital Healthcare Center is actively seeking dedicated and passionate full-time Physician Assistants to expand our OB/GYN specialty clinic in Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

Positioned in the heart of Newark, our OB/GYN specialty clinic provides a collaborative and innovative atmosphere that promotes best practices in patient care. The role is entirely clinic-based, with a structured five-day work week comprising 40 hours. You will have the advantage of a supportive network, allowing you to focus on your clinical practice without the pressures of on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own patient panel, ensuring continuity and quality of care while also handling physician overflow when necessary.

• Work within a collaborative environment where you receive full support from attending physicians across various clinical scenarios.

• Perform a range of procedures, including IUD placements, Nexplanon insertions, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, colposcopies, and circumcisions, provided you have received the appropriate training.

• Participate in ongoing training and education, including leadership training provided by the organization to foster professional growth.

• Engage with our Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) council to ensure that you have the resources and support needed to excel in your role.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse female clientele seeking comprehensive reproductive health services. Our patient population includes individuals from various backgrounds, emphasizing a need for culturally competent care. As a Physician Assistant, your role is pivotal in ensuring that patients receive tailored healthcare solutions and educational support related to their gynecological and obstetrical health.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant Certification along with an unrestricted state medical license.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree.

• Demonstrated experience of at least two years in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems, particularly EPIC.

• Strong communication, critical thinking, and active listening skills are essential to engage effectively with patients and the care team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in an OB/GYN setting is highly desirable. Candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team. Additional training in procedures listed under Key Responsibilities will be prioritized.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust salary, employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
