Mountain Urgent Care is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Physician Assistant to support our Women's Health Division, focusing on Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Newark, NJ, where you will collaborate closely with medical professionals across interdisciplinary teams. The facility is equipped with advanced medical technologies and systems, fostering an environment that prioritizes both clinician efficiency and patient satisfaction. You will typically work a structured 5-day week, totaling 40 hours, with an emphasis on maintaining a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical examinations, and laboratory results to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Assist during surgical procedures under the supervision of attending physicians, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventative health measures, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Implement evidence-based guidelines to improve patient care outcomes in the obstetric and gynecological arenas.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient care, including referring to specialists when necessary.
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve female patients of diverse backgrounds, ranging from adolescents to mature adults. You will address various health needs, including routine gynecological exams, prenatal care, family planning, and menopausal management. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care and patient outcomes, enhancing the overall healthcare experience for our clientele.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and an unrestricted state medical license for New Jersey are required.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory as part of our compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Strong foundational skills in clinical practice, along with active listening, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology preferred to ensure familiarity with this patient demographic.
• Proficiency or training in using EPIC EMR is highly desirable, demonstrating ability to operate in cutting-edge healthcare technology.
• Experience in a surgical center or similar setting would be advantageous to effectively manage workflow and patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
