Full-time Physician Assistant for Women's Health at Handy Clinic, Jersey City

Handy Clinic is looking for dedicated Physician Assistants to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. This full-time role is integral to enhancing patient care within our facility, where you will work alongside a collaborative team of OB/GYN professionals and Advanced Practice Clinicians. Work Environment

You will be working in an onsite hospital setting in Jersey City, New Jersey, providing clinic-based care within a five-day work week comprising 40 hours. The environment is designed to promote teamwork and inter-professional collaboration, allowing our clinicians to thrive and focus entirely on patient care without the burden of call responsibilities. Our facility is equipped with advanced medical technologies, enabling you to offer the best possible care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own patient panel while handling physician overflow, ensuring comprehensive care delivery.
• Collaborate closely with physicians to establish treatment plans and assist in various women’s health procedures.
• Perform a wide range of procedures including IUD insertions, Nexplanon insertion, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, colposcopies (if trained), and circumcisions (if trained).
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for patient documentation, enhancing workflow efficiency and patient record management.
• Participate in an Advanced Practice Clinician council, aiding collaboration and sharing best practices across disciplines.
• Engage in continuous professional development and leadership training to enhance your clinical skills and career trajectory.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on women's health, catering to a diverse patient population with varying healthcare needs. This includes routine wellness exams, urgent care, family planning services, and the management of chronic gynecological conditions. With your skills and expertise, you will be instrumental in guiding patients through important health decisions and procedures.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Physician Assistant is required.
• Possess a valid and unrestricted state medical license.
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, as per state regulations.
• Strong active listening, effective communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are essential for successful interactions with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a relevant clinical setting, preferably in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Training or experience in using EPIC EMR to facilitate patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to perform specific outpatient procedures as listed above.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
