Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough women's health assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and necessary screenings to ensure comprehensive care.
• Diagnose and manage a range of women's health conditions, from reproductive health issues to menopausal challenges, employing evidence-based practices.
• Provide family planning services with a focus on contraceptive counseling, prescription, and education, assisting patients in making informed reproductive choices.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations, including Pap smears and clinical breast exams, ensuring early detection of potential health issues.
• Manage prenatal care, including monitoring fetal development, conducting prenatal visits, and offering education on pregnancy and childbirth.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and allied healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and holistic care for expecting mothers.
• Educate patients on sexual and reproductive health topics, such as STD prevention and fertility awareness, promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging, developing appropriate treatment plans based on results.
• Prescribe medications and provide ongoing monitoring of treatment efficacy, while managing any potential side effects.
• Document patient interactions accurately in our electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain seamless communication and continuity of care.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes within the practice.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in women's health through continuous professional development and education activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be the female patient population, ranging from adolescents to seniors, each with varying degrees of complexity in health needs. Your role will involve addressing significant issues affecting women's health, which includes but is not limited to, reproductive health, pregnancy, and menopausal management. Establishing trusting relationships and ensuring a supportive environment will be vital in achieving positive health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A completed master's degree in nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, demonstrating your competency in this specialization.
• Demonstrable clinical experience in women's health settings, particularly in primary care or OB/GYN practices.
• In-depth knowledge of pertinent women's health issues including gynecology, reproductive health, and menopausal care.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of direct clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, especially in a community-focused health setting.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
