Work Environment

Situated in the heart of Paterson, NJ, Medical Lifeline Hospital offers a collaborative and respectful work environment where advanced practice clinicians are empowered to practice at the peak of their license. You will join a team comprised of seasoned OB/GYN specialists and other Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) who are committed to excellence and continuous improvement in patient care. The work schedule consists of a 5-day work week with 40 hours, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while focusing on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own patient panel alongside handling physician overflow where necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
• Provide 100% clinic-based healthcare services with full support from attending Medical Doctors.
• Conduct essential women’s health procedures, including IUD placements, Nexplanon insertions, endometrial biopsies, and vulvar biopsies.
• Offer wellness consultations and perform colposcopies and circumcisions if the requisite training has been obtained.
• Participate in the APC council to receive support and foster collaboration within the team.
• Engage in ongoing leadership training and development opportunities to enhance your professional skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Medical Lifeline Hospital, you will primarily work with a diverse population of women requiring a range of OB/GYN services. Our clinic is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality care aimed at improving health outcomes for our patients. Your role will involve both routine and complex cases, making it a fulfilling opportunity to influence patient health positively.

Qualifications

• A valid Physician Assistant Certification is mandatory.
• Must possess an unrestricted State Medical License.
• Completion of a Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
• Experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology is essential.
• Training or proficiency in utilizing EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
• Strong competencies in active listening, critical thinking, communication, time management, and decision-making are required.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the standard qualifications, preference will be given to candidates who display a proactive approach in learning the latest advancements in obstetric and gynecological care, as well as those who demonstrate experience in working with electronic health records and various clinical pathways.
