Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our state-of-the-art surgical center, you will work onsite, engaging directly with a diverse patient population. Our facility is equipped to provide comprehensive surgical and gynecological services, ensuring that our staff has access to the latest technology and best practices in patient care. You will be part of a close-knit team of OB/GYNs and Advanced Practice Clinicians who share a deep commitment to delivering quality care. Our typical work schedule consists of a 40-hour week, five days, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own patient panel while also supporting physicians with overflow patients to ensure efficient healthcare delivery.
• Provide full medical support under the supervision of experienced doctors, with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Conduct a variety of clinical procedures, including but not limited to IUD insertions, Nexplanon insertions, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, women’s wellness examinations, and colposcopies (if trained).
• Engage in a 100% clinic-based practice, free from on-call responsibilities, which allows for focused patient care and improved work-life balance.
• Participate in a dedicated APC council that fosters collaboration and support among advanced practice clinicians.

Qualifications

• A valid Physician Assistant certification and an unrestricted state medical license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required, with a Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in obstetrics and gynecology is essential for this role, ensuring you are well-versed in the unique challenges of the field.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly EPIC, is strongly preferred to facilitate seamless patient care.
• Demonstrated skills in active listening, critical thinking, effective communication, and decision-making are crucial for success in this position.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of this role, including any mandated booster doses based on state regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a surgical or OB/GYN setting.
• Previous training in performing specific procedures such as colposcopies and circumcisions is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
