Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work on-site at our hospital facility, engaging daily with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to provide immediate care to patients. The typical work schedule consists of 40 hours per week, primarily during evening shifts from 5:00 PM to midnight, Monday through Friday. This arrangement allows for a sustainable work-life balance while maintaining essential evening coverage for our urgent care operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed patient medical histories to inform diagnostic and treatment decisions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests, imaging studies (X-rays), and other laboratory evaluations, ensuring prompt care delivery.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute medical conditions and illnesses effectively, including minor injuries and infections.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic illnesses, ensuring ongoing monitoring and adjustments as necessary.
• Prescribe medications with careful consideration of patient safety and therapeutic efficacy, while educating patients about their treatment regimens.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation using our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and patient feedback.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay abreast of best practices and advances in urgent care medicine.

Qualifications

• A valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and a DEA number are required to practice.

Compensation and Benefits
