Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. The facility is designed to provide a combination of advanced medical technologies and a welcoming atmosphere for patients. As a Physician Assistant, you will work in a supportive, collaborative environment alongside a tenured group of Obstetricians, Gynecologists, and Advanced Practice Clinicians. You will enjoy a structured five-day work week, totaling 40 hours, without weekend or call obligations, allowing for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• You will manage your own patient panel, providing continuity of care and establishing meaningful patient relationships.
• Your role will also involve addressing physician overflow, ensuring that all patients receive timely and comprehensive care.
• This position consists entirely of clinic-based practice, allowing you to focus on outpatient care without the distractions of hospital duties.
• You will handle various procedures, including IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, women's wellness exams, and colposcopies—provided you have the necessary training.
• You will participate in a supportive Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) council, fostering shared knowledge and enhancing professional development.
• Utilize our advanced electronic medical records (EMR) system, EPIC, to efficiently document patient interactions and maintain up-to-date patient information.
• Engage in ongoing leadership training opportunities designed to bolster your career growth and prepare you for potential advancement within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at our Surgical Center, you will primarily focus on women’s health, serving a diverse patient population with a wide range of needs. You will play a critical role in providing care for patients seeking general wellness examinations, reproductive health guidance, and specialized procedures. Your expertise and compassionate approach will have a profound impact on improving the health outcomes of the communities we serve in Elizabeth and its surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Current Physician Assistant Certification is required.
• An unrestricted state medical license for New Jersey is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination, including any mandated booster doses, is essential for this role.
• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
• Proficient in critical thinking, active listening, and effective communication skills are vital for success in this position.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and make informed decisions will greatly enhance patient care delivery.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience, ideally within Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Previous experience working with EPIC EMR is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between USD 140,000 and 180,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
