Work Environment

This position is based at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Elizabeth, NJ, where you will engage in patient assessments and outpatient procedures. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week, with a focus on maintaining patients' health in a primary care setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and evaluate patients’ medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to ensure accurate assessment of patient health.
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, formulating individualized treatment strategies to meet patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment protocols for pain management and rehabilitation.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and schedules to comply with healthcare regulations and support continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to foster proactive health management.
• Advance professional knowledge and share insights within the organization through ongoing research and collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pain Management Physician Assistant, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population suffering from conditions such as chronic pain, post-surgical pain, and musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will allow you to create tailored care plans that address the unique needs of each patient, promoting their recovery and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Valid New Jersey State Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification are required.
• Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in an outpatient clinic, emergency room, or hospital, with focus on primary care and pain management.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Ethical integrity and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing clinical documentation and patient data.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in managing chronic pain conditions or working within a surgical environment.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation practices and interdisciplinary care approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 150,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
