Parkland Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our team for a full-time position based in Edison, New Jersey. In this role, you will be integral to our primary care practice, responsible for diagnosing and treating patients suffering from various health conditions related to pain management. Work Environment

You will work in a surgical center setting, which allows for a hands-on approach to patient management and care. The practice operates from Monday to Friday, with a standard weekly schedule of 40 hours, concluding by 5:00 PM. This on-site position fosters collaboration amongst medical professionals, including five MDs and five other Nurse Practitioners, providing you with support and resources as you deliver care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pain Management Physician Assistant at Parkland Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and reviewing patients’ medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and X-rays, to accurately diagnose conditions.
• Diagnosing patients’ health conditions and formulating effective treatment plans for chronic and acute diseases.
• Prescribing medications and therapies, ensuring alignment with the latest guidelines and practices in pain management.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records and managing schedules to facilitate continuity of care.
• Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
• Promoting healthy lifestyle choices and wellness programs to foster overall patient health.
• Contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment through effective communication with the interprofessional team.
• Engaging in research and ongoing education to advance your clinical expertise and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you’ll primarily serve an outpatient population seeking relief from chronic pain, as well as interventions for acute pain management. Our patients range from those coping with musculoskeletal issues to individuals recovering from surgery or injury. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for our Pain Management Physician Assistant position will meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New Jersey.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and current DEA registration.
• Proficient knowledge of health and patient care regulations.

Compensation and Benefits
