Work Environment

The work environment is onsite and collaborative, situated within a hospital setting that integrates various healthcare services and specialties. As a Pain Management Physician Assistant, you will be working closely with a dynamic team that includes five Medical Doctors and five Nurse Practitioners. Together, you will provide holistic care to a diverse patient population, managing both acute and chronic pain management cases while coordinating with specialists as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess patients' medical histories to develop accurate diagnoses.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests—including blood work, X-rays, and other imaging studies—to inform treatment plans.
• Formulate, propose, and implement treatment strategies for chronic pain and related health conditions.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols and state regulations, ensuring patient safety.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation to track patient progress and outcomes effectively.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to enhance their well-being.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development through research, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
• Promote preventative health practices within the community to foster healthier lifestyles.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population encompasses a wide range of individuals dealing with chronic pain, including those with conditions such as arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, and post-operative pain. Our focus is on delivering patient-centered care that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of pain management. You will play a pivotal role in improving patient quality of life through thorough assessments, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required, with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies preferred.
• Current Physician Assistant license valid in New Jersey, along with certification (PA-C).
• Active DEA number to prescribe medications.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Strong ethical standards and a patient-first approach in practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and patience in handling complex patient situations.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in relevant settings, such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or emergency departments.
• Specialized knowledge in primary care, acute care, and chronic pain management.
• Familiarity with patient care regulations and best practices in pain management.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The Pain Management Physician Assistant position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 150,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
