Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our hospital facility, ensuring a collaborative and dynamic work environment. You will be working various shifts from Monday to Friday, typically starting at 5:00 pm, for a total of 40 hours per week. Our urgent care setting is fast-paced and provides a unique opportunity to work with diverse patient populations experiencing a variety of health concerns, including acute injuries, illnesses, and routine preventative care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, actively listening to patient histories and reviewing relevant medical records to inform your clinical practice.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to accurately assess patient conditions.
• Utilize your expertise to diagnose and manage a wide range of acute healthcare issues, providing timely and effective treatment recommendations.
• Craft personalized treatment plans for patients managing chronic illnesses, ensuring ongoing assessments and adjustments as needed.
• Prescribe necessary medications and closely monitor their effects, making modifications based on patient responses and health advancements.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records within our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with health regulations and facilitating continuity of care.
• Take an active role in patient education, discussing health practices, disease prevention, and the importance of following prescribed treatment plans with patients and their families.
• Promote wellness by encouraging lifestyle modifications and the adoption of health-positive behaviors within our patient community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population in the Edison area. Patients may present with various acute conditions, ranging from injuries and infections to illness exacerbations. Your ability to understand and address a range of patient concerns, combined with cultural competence and empathy, will enhance the quality of care provided. Qualifications

• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is required, along with a DEA number for prescription management.
• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is mandatory, ensuring a strong educational foundation.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in urgent care, emergency room, or similar medical settings is essential.
• In-depth understanding of primary care and acute care practices, along with a solid grasp of health and patient care regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
