Mary Mediclinic and Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our expanding team in Edison, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital facility, working a standard schedule of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including five medical doctors and five nurse practitioners, ensuring comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations of patients to ascertain their medical history and current health status.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and X-rays, to aid in accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose various health conditions, focusing primarily on pain-related issues, and develop effective treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications, including analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs, while educating patients on their proper use and potential side effects.
• Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, ensuring all patient interactions and treatments are documented.
• Promote disease prevention and health maintenance by educating patients and families on lifestyle modifications and treatment options.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest advances in pain management and participate in continuing education workshops and research endeavors.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, post-operative pain, and other related health issues. You will engage with a diverse patient population, ranging from those experiencing acute pain to those with complex chronic conditions. Building strong relationships and establishing trust with patients is essential for effective management and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in New Jersey is essential.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is mandatory.
• Current DEA number is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are vital for effective patient care.

• Commitment to ethical standards in patient care and professional interactions is expected.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
