This position is based in our vibrant on-site Surgical Center located in Staten Island. Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities as an Interventional Pain Management Physician Assistant will involve:

• Conducting thorough patient consultations and follow-up evaluations to assess medical histories and evaluate the patients’ pain management needs.
• Performing ultrasound-guided trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections to relieve patient suffering effectively.
• Reviewing and interpreting patient lab results, diagnostic imaging, and physical therapy notes to create individualized treatment plans.
• Caring for both acute and chronic pain patients by monitoring therapeutic interventions, prescribing medications, and administering injections.
• Documenting all relevant patient information meticulously in their medical records to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date care.
• Triage patient calls and respond appropriately to medical emergencies, ensuring timely assistance as needed.
• Coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, such as Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, and Chiropractors, to develop a cohesive treatment approach.
• Introducing health promotion concepts and techniques to empower patients in their journey towards pain relief.
• Actively engaging in community outreach efforts to promote our services and generate new patient referrals.
• Providing empathetic care, hope, and expert guidance to patients navigating their pain management journey.

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals suffering from chronic pain conditions such as back pain, joint pain, and neuropathic pain. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in pain management or a related specialty.
• Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Care Medical offers a total compensation range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our team members are eligible for performance bonuses of up to $20,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
