Work Environment

This role is onsite at a local school facility in Staten Island, where you'll be part of a supportive environment focused on pediatric and adolescent health. The position calls for a flexible commitment that includes a standard work schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extending until 8:00 p.m. You may also be required to participate in community outreach events or health fairs on weekends, reflecting our dedication to community involvement and health education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings for children and families in the school setting, utilizing tools such as growth charts and developmental screening questionnaires.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, emphasizing preventive care and promoting health education tailored to the school environment.
• Engage with local community organizations to design and implement health education programs that inform and empower students and families about wellness strategies.
• Provide culturally sensitive care, ensuring that all patients feel valued and advocate on their behalf for improved access to healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and an active state nursing license.
