Work Environment

This role will be performed onsite at our hospital facility, where you will coordinate patient care across three different locations throughout Staten Island and the surrounding areas. You will have a structured work schedule with options for a four-day or five-day work week, totaling 40 hours. The flexibility allows for a balanced work-life dynamic while maintaining focus on patient care. Each office is easily accessible and includes available parking for staff.

Key Responsibilities

In your new role as a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations and establishing treatment plans
• Performing procedures such as ultrasound-guided trigger point injections, joint injections, and nerve blocks, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Educating patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies to promote better health
• Participating in team meetings and case discussions to contribute to comprehensive patient care

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working closely with patients suffering from a range of conditions, primarily focusing on:

• Lower back pain
• Shoulder pain
• Knee pain
• Elbow pain
• Osteoarthritis

Your ability to empathize with patients and provide personalized care will greatly enhance their experience and recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess:

• A valid New York State Physician Assistant (PA) License
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C)
• DEA Registration Number
• NPI Number
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year’s experience in interventional pain management is required, candidates with extensive exposure to pain management practices will be given preference. Familiarity with advanced pain management procedures and a track record of delivering high-quality patient care will be beneficial.
