Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center, fully equipped to perform a wide range of interventional pain management procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, reviewing medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations to assess pain conditions.
• Execute ultrasound-guided trigger point injections and perform nerve blocks and joint injections in accordance with established protocols.
• Review and analyze clinical data including lab results, diagnostic studies, and physical therapy notes to create effective treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic pain patients by monitoring their treatment regimens, administering injections, performing minor office surgical procedures, and prescribing medication.
• Record and measure vital physiological and growth indices for patient assessments.
• Respond to patient calls, triaging healthcare inquiries and addressing medical emergencies with professionalism and efficiency.
• Collaborate with community healthcare providers and coordinate care to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to pain management.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in our EMR system, Modernizing Medicine, for all patient interactions and treatments.
• Promote health and wellness by implementing health promotion principles, generating awareness, and actively engaging in community outreach for new patient referrals.
• Work closely with physical therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients dealing with both acute and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient population includes individuals seeking effective pain relief from various underlying conditions, such as injuries, surgical recovery, and chronic pain syndromes. Your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Current New York State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in pain management or a related field.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with interventional pain management techniques is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically Modernizing Medicine.
• Prior experience in a surgical or outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits

Care Medical offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will have the opportunity to earn performance bonuses of up to $20,000, which reward your dedication and contributions.
