Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant in our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, you will work onsite in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with typical hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role emphasizes teamwork, as you will coordinate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to establish accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and order necessary diagnostic tests, interpreting results to guide patient care decisions.
• Administer various injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to alleviate patient pain and enhance mobility.
• Prescribe medications, including pain management therapies, while educating patients on the proper use and side effects.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, documenting treatment outcomes and making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Guide patients and their families in understanding pain management techniques, techniques for lifestyle modification, and the importance of adhering to care plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review patient cases and implement comprehensive care strategies.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Promote and advocate for preventive care, educating patients on health conditions and preventive measures.
• Contribute to research efforts and professional discourse, enhancing clinical practices and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily work with adults experiencing chronic and acute pain conditions. Our patient population encompasses a diverse demographic, from individuals with musculoskeletal disorders to those recovering from surgical interventions. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physician Assistant license issued by the State of New York.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is mandatory.
• Possession of a current DEA number and NPI number is required.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical, hospital, or emergency care setting.
• Strong knowledge of health care regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaboration with healthcare teams and engaging effectively with patients.
• A commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of pain management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in pain management or related specialties, such as internal medicine, orthopedics, or physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range between USD 140,000 and 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, retirement plans, paid time off, and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.
