Work Environment

This position will take place in an onsite hospital setting within a state-of-the-art facility in Rye, New York. Offering a comfortable and modern work environment, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team where collaboration is key to patient success. The typical work schedule consists of 40 hours per week, spanning Monday to Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to establish treatment needs and develop tailored management plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and order pertinent diagnostic tests to inform clinical decision-making.
• Administer injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to alleviate pain effectively.
• Prescribe medications within the legal scope of practice and provide essential pain management recommendations to patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress continuously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management protocols, emphasizing self-care and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Participate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex patient cases and enhance collaborative care approaches.
• Oversee patients’ overall health and educate them on their conditions, treatment plans, and preventive health strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to research initiatives aimed at improving clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will interact closely with a diverse patient population experiencing varied pain-related conditions. This includes individuals with chronic pain, post-operative discomfort, and rehabilitation needs, as well as patients seeking preventive care. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) and possession of a valid DEA and NPI number.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in acute care, internal medicine, family health, or urgent/emergency care settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills, patience, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.

• Prior experience in pain management or a closely related field is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant health regulations and patient care standards.

Compensation and Benefits

VitalEdge PA offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, retirement plans, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities, we also provide a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 to ensure you feel valued from day one.
