Work Environment

This role is an onsite position in our facility, which operates from Monday to Friday, requiring 40 hours per week with a shift ending at 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations, to develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, ensuring that necessary evaluations are performed to support patient diagnoses.
• Administer various types of injections, including trigger point and joint injections, as part of a comprehensive pain management strategy.
• Prescribe medications effectively and provide patients with detailed pain management recommendations based on individual health profiles.
• Monitor and document patient progress thoroughly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques and their specific treatment plans to enhance understanding and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to discussions on patient care and collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Advocate for patients by providing informative support regarding their health conditions and medications.
• Promote good health practices and engage patients in their treatment plans to foster a partnership in health and wellness.
• Actively pursue continued education and conduct research to remain at the forefront of pain management practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions, offering empathetic care and tailored treatment strategies. Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, allowing you to apply your skills across a range of scenarios, from young adults with sports injuries to seniors dealing with chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is required.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license must be held.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) is mandatory.
• Possess a current DEA and NPI number.
• Strong clinical skills and a proven track record as a Physician Assistant in various settings such as clinics and hospitals are essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management or related specialty areas such as internal medicine, cardiology, or urgent care is highly desirable.
• A comprehensive understanding of health regulations and patient care standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate patient interactions and team collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer an attractive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.
