Pain Management Physician Assistant - Full-Time Role in Surgical Center

Work Environment

Your work will primarily take place in our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, which is equipped with advanced technologies and resources to support interventional pain management procedures. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from chronic pain, ensuring accurate diagnoses and identifying suitable candidates for various interventional pain management procedures.
• Manage chronic medication regimens by prescribing medications aligned with therapeutic goals, and effectively communicate treatment plans to both patients and their families.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to enhance the quality of care and synchronize patient management strategies.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, utilizing clinical findings, lab results, and imaging studies to diagnose acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop, initiate, and monitor tailored management plans for patients under your care, leveraging clinical protocols and consultations with supervising physicians as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population experiencing chronic pain related to various conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical recovery. Your empathetic approach and commitment to understanding the complexities of pain will be vital in addressing the physical and emotional aspects of patient care.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• Active licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably within pain management or a related field.
• Exceptional communication skills, combined with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• A collaborative mindset to effectively engage with the healthcare team and contribute to a patient-centered care philosophy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with interventional pain management techniques and familiarity with procedures such as nerve blocks and epidural injections are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
