Work Environment

Your work will take place onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center located in Yonkers. The facility is equipped with the latest technology and resources to ensure that both our staff and patients can operate in a safe and efficient environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while delivering essential health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate pain conditions and develop individualized treatment plans incorporating advanced diagnostic tools and therapeutic modalities.
• Manage the execution of treatment plans, which may include prescription management, minimally invasive procedures, and physical rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing patient quality of life.
• Work closely with case managers to coordinate discharge planning for patients, ensuring continuity of care post-treatment.
• Act as a liaison for referring physicians by accepting referrals and providing consultative services for patients requiring hospitalization and specialized care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical documentation that adheres to insurance requirements, and handle claims appeals in a proactive manner.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, contributing to a collegial environment aimed at achieving the best patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be to support patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse population that includes individuals facing post-surgical pain, chronic pain syndromes, and pain from various medical conditions. Your role is integral to helping patients navigate their treatment journey, providing compassionate care and education to empower them in managing their health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required for this position.
• An active Physician Assistant license in New York State is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience in a similar healthcare setting, with a strong focus on pain management preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Strong organizational abilities and a work ethic that emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced, performance-driven healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

While 3 years of clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with experience specifically in pain management or within surgical settings. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Epic or similar platforms, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
