Pain Management Physician Assistant - Full-Time Onsite Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather medical histories, perform physical examinations, and initiate diagnostic evaluations relevant to pain management.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in conjunction with supervising physicians, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Perform minor procedures such as trigger point injections, joint injections, and other interventional techniques under the supervision of attending physicians, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout.
• Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment protocols, and lifestyle changes necessary for ongoing health maintenance and pain management.
• Document all patient interactions, clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care meticulously in electronic health records to maintain compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, ranging from orthopedic injuries to post-operative pain management. Your efforts will directly impact their ability to manage pain effectively, improve quality of life, and foster a greater understanding of their health conditions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Exceptional clinical skills, with the ability to operate independently within the scope of practice and make critical decisions efficiently.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a pain management, orthopedic, or surgical environment.
• Familiarity with pain management protocols and the use of interventions such as pharmacologic therapies, physical therapy, and counseling techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
