Work Environment

This position is onsite at our hospital facility in Long Island City, where you will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients experiencing pain, utilizing your advanced diagnostic skills to determine appropriate treatment pathways.
• Administer and manage a range of interventional pain management procedures, which may include injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive techniques.
• Engage in collaborative care planning, coordinating with case management teams to ensure effective discharge planning and follow-up for outpatient care.
• Serve as a consulting provider for inpatient referrals, assessing hospitalized patients to inform treatment decisions aligned with hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with insurance requirements, facilitating timely claims management and addressing appeals as necessary.
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, including availability for on-call coverage as needed to provide continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical pain, neuropathic pain, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will be instrumental in delivering compassionate care to a diverse population, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and support during their treatment journey. Your ability to assess, understand, and respond to each patient’s specific circumstances will greatly contribute to enhancing their overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably in a pain management or related specialty.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to connect with patients and their families.
• Organizational prowess to manage multiple cases effectively while ensuring quality care delivery.
• A strong work ethic and dedication to working in a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with interventional pain management techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position is competitive, with a salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 annually.
